4/19 Closing Reception - We Are All Compost - an Earth Day pre-party!
Come out from 2-5 pm to see the show's decomposition and paint with Rebecca Schultz's natural pigments!

Like all things, We Are All Compost was composed to decompose. Over the past few weeks the works on display have succumbed to entropy and the digestive efforts of a host of worms, bugs, fungi, and bacteria. We’d love to celebrate the closing of the exhibition and the collaborative efforts of our more-than-human friends with YOU, our human friends!

To celebrate the closing and anticipating Earth Day 2025, exhibiting artist Rebecca Schultz will share her soil, lake, and waste stream pigments, gathered from Philadelphia’s Kensington and Port Richmond neighborhoods, for guests to make their own paintings (BYO support!). So bring come out to Big Ramp on Saturday, April 19 from 2-5pm to check out the show, talk to the exhibiting artists, enjoy the spring weather, and bring your own canvas, wood block, stone, tile, paper, or whatever you’d like to paint on!
Oh and come thirsty as we’ll also have a selection of home fermented beverages on tap to raise a glass and honor our exhibiting artists and their more-than-human collaborators!
We’ll also be open Saturday 4/12 from 2-4pm for our normal gallery hours! Find us at 2024 E Westmoreland St, Philadelphia, PA 19134
