The Veil of Veronica, often simply called the Veronica, is a revered Christian relic—a piece of cloth said to bear an image of the Holy Face of Jesus, produced by divine means. Historically, this relic has been regarded as "the true image" of Jesus, predating even the Shroud of Turin.

Conor and Lindsay draw inspiration from this rich tradition, utilizing repetition and symbolization as tools for enlightenment and truth-seeking in their artistic practices. Their works, primarily in painting and drawing, range in scale from body-referential stretched canvases to collections of small works on paper.

About the Artists:

  • Conor MacCormack: An artist and stylist based in Philadelphia and New York, Conor's work spans various mediums, focusing on painting and drawing.

  • Lindsay Thomson: A multidisciplinary artist and writer, Lindsay resides in Philadelphia, where her work encompasses a broad range of artistic expressions.

We look forward to welcoming you to "Veil of Veronica."
